Empress Of is back with a new track. It’s called “Call Me” and it’s the latest song to be shared from the Turning soundtrack. Have a listen below.

Empress Of wrote “Call Me” with Lawrence and Yves Rothman. Lawrence explained, “When writing the track with [Empress Of], Yves, and I had the idea of writing something that was dreamy and processional; the movie’s swan song. it became a track that Floria Sigismondi used on set a lot to set the mood when shooting the scenes of the dreamlike limbo that the ghost Ms. Jessel is trapped in.”

The Turning is a Floria Sigismondi-directed horror movie starring Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard. Courtney Love, Soccer Mommy, Lawrence Rothman, and the Aubreys have shared new songs from the soundtrack, which also features contributions from Mitski, Kim Gordon, Alice Glass, Kali Uchis, and Vagabon.

The last Empress Of album was 2018’s Us; it featured the single “When I’m With Him.” Read Pitchfork’s feature “Empress Of Uses Her Music as Self-Defense.”
